The 12.1.3 upgrade has significant changes that makes the upgrade from 11i easier than previous R12 releases. For most Financial Users, the biggest issues are what happens after your system is upgraded. How do my Sets of Books convert to Ledgers, what is the impact of intercompany, intracompany, legal entities, and organizations? Oracle Payments replaces Payment Batches and how will that impact my current processes? Since the current Payment Batch program is no longer available, what is needed to be done to print checks, send EFT’s, and how difficult is it now that BI Publisher is used? How is the new Bank Security handled? What is the setup involved with setting up Oracle Payments? What is the Subledger module and what does this mean to me? How will month end closings be effected now that most of the reports in 11i are not available in R12 for month end closings? What does this mean to our Discoverer Reports?
